LR ANIMAL SERVICES TAKING EDUCATION EFFORTS INTO NEIGHBORHOODS WITH NEW PROGRAM

Little Rock Animal Services will unveil a new program at Wakefield Elementary this Saturday, May 31. The program, “Training Wheels,” is designed to take animal care education into the neighborhoods.

From 10am until 4pm, Little Rock Animal Services staff and volunteers will be at the school as well as walking through the adjacent neighborhood to visit with area residents, help with any dog care needs, provide animal care products, and answer questions pertaining to animal welfare.

According to Tracy Roark, Animal Services Manager, “This event is part of the Little Rock Animal Services goals for public safety and animal welfare education. We have a great new Animal Village and Education Center on Kramer Street in the center of Little Rock, but we also want to go out into the neighborhoods.”

Training Wheels will be continued in all areas of the City of Little Rock.

Wakefield Elementary is located at 75 Westminister Drive.
