Board Elections


The packets are available in the Little Rock City Clerk's Office.


Qualifications:
  1. Registered Voter
  2. Must be a resident of the City of Little Rock for at least thirty (30) days
  3. More than twenty-one (21) Years of Age
  4. No party affiliation designated
  5. Petition must be signed by at least fifty (50) qualified electors of the City (Potential candidates are encouraged to obtain 75 - 100 signatures to insure that they have the required amount)
  6. Filing period: Friday, July 27, 2012 - Friday, August 17, 2012 (Noon)
  7. Filing deadline: Tuesday, August 17, 2012 – 12:00 Noon
    Petition must be filed with the City Clerk not more than one-hundred and two (102) days nor less than eighty-one (81) days prior to the November 6, 2012, General Election by 12:00 Noon. (ACA § 14-47-110)
  8. NO FILING FEE REQUIRED

Election Date: NOVEMBER 6, 2012

  1. Officials elected will take office January 1, 2013. (Four (4)-Year Term Expiring December 31, 2017)

  4. Petitions: Must be filed with the City Clerk no later than Wednesday, August 17, 2012, @ 12:00 Noon. (Little Rock City Hall, Room 200, 500 West Markham Street, Little Rock, AR 72201)
  5. Financial Disclosure Forms: Candidates shall file Statement of Financial Interest with the City Clerk on the first Monday following the close of the period to file as a candidate for elective office. (Must be filed no later than Monday, August 20, 2012). Forms are included in election packet.
  6. Campaign Contribution Reports: The Campaign Contribution reports required shall be filed in the Pulaski County Clerk's Office no later than seven (7) days (Monday, October 17, 2012) before the November 6, 2012 General Election. The final report is due thirty (30) days (Thursday, December 6, 2012) after the election.
