The City of Little Rock Fleet Services Department has received National recognition as one of the 100 Best Fleets of North America since first applying in 2006. With 38,000 public fleets eligible, we are quite proud of this accomplishment.
Department Mission Statement:
To provide cost efficient, quality vehicles, work equipment, fuel, vehicle storage and other fleet support services to our customers in a timely, environmentally friendly atmosphere. We seek to maintain a safe and wholesome work environment and opportunity for all employees while being frugal with the citizens of Little Rock tax dollars.
Services Provided:
Fleet Services is responsible for management of all vehicles and motorized equipment in the City's fleet. The City owns approximately 1,300 pieces of equipment, which are purchased, fueled, maintained and disposed of by the Fleet Services Department. This Department operates two (2) vehicle maintenance facilities and eight (8) automated fuel sites, in addition to a large Vehicle Storage Facility operating around the clock.
Fleet Services provides loaner vehicles for down units, courtesy vehicles for use by City Departments, fueling services, and maintenance for all City vehicles and equipment. Rental vehicles are also available to City Departments for short-term and seasonal needs.
Fleet Services also provides impoundment services through the Vehicle Storage Facility. This facility offers a weekly auction of abandoned and unclaimed vehicles, as well as City vehicles that have been removed from the City inventory.
