Civil Service Commission
The Civil Service Commission was created by Arkansas Code Annotated 14-51-201 et. seq. - Little Rock City Code, Section 2-112. Each of the commission's five (5) members serve six (6)-year terms. The Civil Service Commission is responsible for personnel policy, merit system rules and regulations and employee/candidate appeals within authority established by Arkansas Statute and City Ordinance. Members must be residents of Little Rock for more than three (3) years and must complete a questionnaire when applying for a position.
The Civil Service Commission meets the second and fourth Thursdays of each month (or as necessary) at 8:00 AM at Little Rock City Hall in the Board of Directors Chambers.
